๐ŸŽ‰ New Feed-Based Text Ads Registration Process

Formerly, users who wanted to use Feed-Based Text Ads as a standalone service had to request our experts to create the account.ย

๐Ÿ›Delated products from Shopify are still visible in DataFeedWatch.

Hi, Shopify users! You may have noticed that some of the products you removed from your Shopify store were still visible in your DataFeedWatch product list.ย

We discovered that some code mismatch caused us to copy information from your data feed faster than information about your deleted products. Our development team identified the issue and made changes.ย

Now the status of your products in DataFeedWatch shows the actual situation in the store.

๐Ÿ›ย  The Price Watchโ€™s Product Selector is not working.

Some users have encountered an "Internal Server Error" when using the Product Selector on Price Watch.ย

We encountered a technical glitch that impeded the smooth operation of the Product Selector, and we fixed the issue.ย

Released on Feb 02, 2023

๐Ÿ‘‹ We've removed the โ€œConnectionsโ€ from the Navigation Bar.

You could have noticed that the Connections tab disappeared from our side navigation.

The navigation bar is where we aim to keep the essential options. Since the option "Connections" was usually confusing for our users, we decided to remove it.

๐ŸŽ‰Now, you can choose which product data you want to download!

Want to download the selected data of your shop or channel products from the product table instead of an extensive data file? Now itโ€™s possible!

Once you want to download your product data, go to the Shop or Channel Products, and click on the preferable format of the file, and weโ€™ll ask you whether you want to download the in-depth database or the file with the selected values.

๐Ÿš€ We are migrating Amazon Feeds from DataFeedWatch to Cart Marketplace Management

Itโ€™s happening! Today, January 17th, 2023, we are migrating the Amazon data feeds from DataFeedWatch toย Cart Marketplace Management.

As we explained in our emails to our Amazon users, it doesnโ€™t mean their Amazon output feeds will disappear from DataFeedWatch. Weย will keep themย as it is today, and they will continue to be refreshed daily.

The only change is thatย the upload to Amazon will no longer be done by DataFeedWatch, but by our sister company SellerActive.SellerActive is 100% specialized in Amazon and other marketplaces, bringing more stability, experience, and functionalities for you to succeed on Amazon, like re-pricing software to help you win the Buy Box.

If you have the Amazon feed in DataFeedWatch, we asked you to create yourย FREE Seller Active accountย by filling out the application form to facilitate the migration process.

  • If you have sent the migration application form, one of our colleagues from Seller Active might reach out to you and set up your free Seller Active account.

We will keep your Amazon data feed, but from today, your data feed upload to Amazon will be handled by Seller Active.

  • If you havenโ€™t sent the migration application form,ย we will keep your Amazon feed in DataFeedWatchย as it is today, and it will be refreshed every day, but yourย product feed wonโ€™t be uploaded to your Amazonย account.

Please get in touch with our support if you want to migrate your Amazon feed to Seller Active or encounter any disruption related to this change.

Here you can learn more aboutย Cart Marketplace Management.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Bye, byeย  Google Text Ads, and welcome Feed-Based Text Ads!

As you probably noticed, we have replaced the name of our Google Text Ads tool with Feed-Based Text Ads.

We wanted to avoid the confusion resulting from similar naming of general Googleโ€™s service Google Ads and highlight the main potential of the tool, which is the possibility of building your Search Campaigns on your fully optimized data feed.

This change wonโ€™t affect any of the functionalities of the Feed-Based Text Ads, nor your Search Campaign settings.

If you want to learn more about Feed-Based Text Ads,ย visit our blog.

๐Ÿ‘‹ We've removed the Image Selector

We removed the Image Selector from our DataFeedWatch features. We observed that our users are not very interested in choosing our Image Selector, and usage of this feature recently was causing some difficulties.

This transfer process didnโ€™t require any of your activity- we took care of everything. We transferred all the settings you had created using the Default Image Selecto to the look-up table and added to the corresponding products as an optional field dfw_images in the internal fields.

From now on, if you want to add new images, follow this short instruction to implement new images directly in your channelโ€™s mapping.

๐Ÿ› Analytics on Menu for Users without Access to Analytics

In DataFeedWatch, you can decide if your account users should have access to Analytics service. If you do not allow them, they do not have access to Analytics service, and they shouldn't see this option on the main menu.

We've decided to remove this item for them, so they are not confused with the link they are not able to access anyway.

Released on Feb 22, 2022

๐ŸŽ‰ Shop List Improvements: You Can Now Mark and Copy Shop's Name! And More.

๐ŸŽ‰ Preview of Channel Mapping Showing What Internal Fields Include

When you create rules to decide what will appear in your channel, you often use Internal Fields (for a variety of reasons). But when you already have a rule, and you're checking it with the Preview ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ option, you could only see the names of Internal Fields used. Now, you get a same-window preview of what's in there. So you don't need to navigate back to your shop's Internal Fields to check it. You can unfold any Internal Field there, one by one.

๐ŸŽ‰ Internal Fields in Advanced Filters in Preview ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ

Until now, you couldn't use Internal Fields to filter out products in the preview. Now, you can click Advanced Filters, and select any Input Field or Internal Field to find the product you were looking for.

๐ŸŽ‰ New and Improved Mapping and Search Dropdowns

The main problem to solve here was that users had hard time to find input fields in the mapping selector since it was by default set to Internal Fields, and it was necessary to switch the tab to Input Fields to find it. We've changed the main dropdown, so that all fields (Input Fields, Internal Fields, but also Date, Text Fields, etc.) are available and searchable instantly, but still grouped separately for clarity.

๐ŸŽ‰ More Areas where Exclude Associated Variants is Used

We've come up with Exclude Associated Variants a long time ago, and as a feature it proved useful for many customers. It's especially useful for sources like Shopify, where creating it may become a nightmare sometimes.

๐ŸŽ‰ Date Unification to DD MMM YYYY Formatโ€”Completed

This time, we've completed implementing new dates format throughout the app, that is DD MMM YYYY (e.g. 27 Jul 2021). We did it to make sure all our global clients can understand the dates. Of course, you can still encounter other dates format in other communication received from our Sales, Support, and Marketing teams.

Released on Jul 27, 2021

๐ŸŽ‰ Date Unification to DD MMM YYYY Formatโ€”Emails

This time, we've introduced the new dates format to all emails sent from the app. The format we're aiming to apply throughout the app is DD MMM YYYY. An example of such date is 27 Jul 2021. We did it to make sure you, that is all our global clients, understand the date correctly. We're still working on this unification, so the date format may still differ in some parts of the app. Of course, you can also encounter other dates format in other email communication received from our Sales and Marketing teams.

3dCart recently rebranded to Shift4Shop. We've therefore changed the logo and name also throughout our app. While adding a shop or editing it, you will now see the updated details.

๐ŸŽ‰ Shopify API Upgrade

Shopify has updated its API, so we had to implement the relevant changes also on our side. This one's rather technical, and shouldn't change anything if you're already using Shopify in DataFeedWatch.

๐Ÿ› FTP Upload Issues

We've recently spotted a problem with FTP upload for certain customer. The previously working FTP credentials suddenly didn't allow us to connect. We had to change connections settings to get it working again.

๐Ÿ› Processing Failed in Feed Review

This error appeared in Feed Review, even for correctly processed channels. There was some technical issue behind it that our tech team successfully solved.

๐Ÿ› Analytics: Cost Data Fetching Exception Interrupted Data Aggregation

Errors in getting Cost Data seemed to prevent gathering all Analytics data. When any Cost Data exception occurs, the analytics data will now still be aggregated without it. Also, an email about Cost Data exception will be sent.

๐Ÿ› Impossible to Access Incorrectly Created Channel (Error 500)

There was an issue preventing you from accessing a broken channel. Now, this error shouldn't appear, at least when you only access it. If it's still broken, try reaching out to us.

Released on Jul 13, 2021

๐ŸŽ‰ Unified Information Pills

We used to have multiple styles of showing pills across the app. What are pills? It's the rounded, pill-shaped styling around words.

Now how it looks is unified. Here's a list of some pills you can come across: fields in combine rule, category name, Updates Schedule items like times of updates or status, fields in Add Optional Field modal, Feed Review pie chart items.

๐Ÿ› Breaking View of Internal Fields When Scrolling

Some users encountered a problem with Internal Field view, where one of the fields stuck to the top of the page.

๐Ÿ› Missing Active Item Coloring in Source Dropdown

After adding a search function to the Source dropdown on Shop Products page, the blue highlight color for an active element has disappeared. We've now added it, so it looks as intended.

๐Ÿ› Categories Dropdown Tooltips Displayed Incorrectly

Text in categories dropdown tooltips had some symbols escaped and displayed incorrectly.

Did this article help you solve the problem?
