Using the Rename option, you can change the name of an input field (a field from your source feed) to the name that is required by your channel. So the only thing that changes is the name of the given field.

At the same time, the value of the given field will be copied to that field.

To map a given field using Rename, follow the simple steps below:

  1. Scroll down to find the field you would like to map
  2. From the first drop-down list next to it, select Rename
  3. In the next field select the Input Field (Shop Field) or Internal Field (Library Field) that you would like to use
  4. Choose if you'd like to use this field for All Products, or add an If condition
Please note that Internal Fields (that are already mapped for the whole shop) will only be available in the Map Fields tab.

Case Studies:

Internal Fields

SKU from the Input Field used as ID for Google Channels

In the example above, the field ID with Rename option for sku (Input Field from your shop) will change the name of the input-field sku to id. And all the values will be copied to your channel.

This way, the requirements of Google will be met, and the field id required by it will be completed with sku values from your shop.
